Other coping techniques include mindfulness meditation, journaling to process emotions, and practicing gratitude. These activities help you remain grounded, even when deadlines or challenges seem overwhelming.

I talk a lot about journaling but it has really made an impact for good in my life. I shared previously, in the blog about having undergone ECT’s (electroconvulsive therapy), that I have major memory problems. Journaling has provided me peace of mind and has reminded me that although there have been some significant setbacks, there has been a lot of light and healing that has taken place. Without my journals and the ability to go back and remind me of past events and experiences, I would be far worse off. I can read and remember ways I have tackled certain obstacles in my life. It has proven to bring me out of the most depressed state and given me hope and drive to carry on. Who knows, maybe at a future time my children will benefit from reading about my experiences.
