Harsh critics say that suicide is a selfish act, but I think we need to have a bit more compassion than that. We need to remember that unless we walk a mile in someone’s shoes, we can’t possibly understand their mental state. How can we begin to know how one might feel and their experiences in life that has led them to such a hard decision.
